History of Round Table Pizza

Bill Larson is the founder and creator of Round Table Pizza.  He opened the first pizzeria in California back in 1959.  His goal was to create the freshest pizza to date; with the majority of the ingredients made from scratch daily.  Even when franchising began; this became a requirement for every Round Table Pizza.  The name comes from the storyline of Camelot; as that was his favorite play growing up.  The cheese is aged to perfection while the wheat for the dough is grown by family farms in Idaho.  They even hand pick their own tomatoes from a freshly grown batch!  Their slogan has lead them for over 50 years which is “We offer the Last Honest Pizza”.

Where you can find Round Table Pizza

The first location was established in Menlo Park, California; but has managed to grow to over 500 restaurants nationwide.  The states that currently offer Round Table Pizza are: Alaska, Arizona, California, Hawaii, Nevada, Oregon and Washington.

Round Table Pizza Product Review

The pizza is a little on the expensive side compared to most pizzerias; but remember – you get what you pay for.  This is a pretty big location with conference rooms for parties and meetings.  The pizza is one of my favorites; you can clearly tell that it’s fresh.  They take pride in the ingredients that they place on each pizza and that’s another obvious sign of the establishment that you’re eating at.  I’m a fan of Round Table Pizza and absolutely love their Garlic Parmesan Twists.  But, I would come back for the pizza and the twists since both of them are divine!
