History of Pizza Pizza
In 1967, founder Michael Overs opened the first Pizza Pizza in Toronto. The initial expansion stayed within the city limits throughout the 70’s and most of the 80’s. However, in the late 1980’s Pizza Pizza became established in Ontario as well. It wasn’t until 2007 that expansion lead into Montreal and flourished from there. The idea was to make great pizza in a short amount of time insuring convenience. In 2005, the company became a corporation but is still privately owned by Overs son-in-law Paul Goddard.

The pizza is pretty good. I enjoy the different combinations as most of them are not common in the United States. The amount of toppings is a little scarce, but most of the pizzerias in Canada do this. I often think that the United States can use too much; so the combination of all the ingredients go well. It isn’t spectacular and it isn’t bad; it’s a pretty decent meal for an affordable price. I always believe it’s worth a try if you’ve never experienced it before.
