History of Lamppost Pizza
Angelo Barro wanted to start a fresh new pizzeria with his sons, Tom and Dan. It has been a family dream to own a business and they all felt the time was right. In May of 1976, the dream came true and they opened not just one location, but three. Each one ran by each owner sharing their personal family recipes with three different counties. Since then, the idea for a small pizzeria turned into a sports restaurant with televisions for everyone’s viewing pleasure. Nowadays, the company has definitely grown from 3 stores and is still operated by Tom and Dan. It’s not just the pizza that’s fantastic; it’s also the different Italian dishes as well.
Where you can find Lamppost Pizza
The first three stores opened in Southern California. These stores spread out between three different counties for marketing purposes. In fact, 22 out of 30 of Lamppost Pizza’s are still found in surrounding cities of Southern California. The other 7 locations are in North California and there is currently 1 in Reno, Nevada.
Lamppost Pizza Product Review
This is a great place to bring the family. The pizzas are huge and filled with so many toppings. That’s probably because I ordered their famous Linebacker. Think of Meat Lovers times 100; yes it’s that many toppings. The crust is crispy on the outside and soft on the inside; which is how a pizza crust should be. The sauce is better than an average pizza and I really can taste the Italian in every bite. The sports memorabilia will keep your eyes wandering and the televisions with keep you entertained. The experience is definitely worth the visit if the pizza doesn’t convince you. I, on the other hand, give it two thumbs up!
