History of Jet’s Pizza
Talk about family passion! This pizzeria was originally opened by brothers; Eugene and John Jetts, back in 1978. It took 14 years for the brothers to partner up with another pair of brothers, Jim Galloway, Jr. and Jeff Galloway. And it proved to be a worthy decision. The goal was to serve affordable pizza that tastes better. Literally. The concept of franchising began in 1990 and exploded throughout North America. In 2010, Jet’s Pizza was voted as the 17th largest pizza chain in the nation. It was unexpected for the brother teams as the goal wasn’t to achieve an award; but rather a chance to put a smile on the face of pizza lovers everywhere. John Jett believes that “pizza should be fun” and ‘if there isn’t a smile on your face while taking a bite, then there’s something wrong”. Nicely said.
Where you can find Jet’s Pizza
Prior to franchising, the first initial Jet’s Pizza was established in Sterling Heights, Michigan. It may have taken over a decade, but this pizzeria has been able to open over 200 stores across 13 states. These states include: Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, North Carolina, Ohio, Tennessee, Texas and Wisconsin.
Jet’s Pizza Product Review
I can definitely see why their deep-dish square pizza made them famous. It is very good! The crust is a bit on the crispy side, but perfect for deep-dish. It’s a little greasy, but most great pizzas are. And I thoroughly enjoyed the salad; the ingredients are crisp and their ranch dressing is clearly homemade. As for the sauce, since I am such a sauce connoisseur, it is very delicious and makes the pizza. Don’t worry; it’s not too spicy, but is very unique. I would definitely visit again and can’t wait to see them expand into more states. Look for one opening near you!
