History of Brixx Pizza

The idea of Brixx Pizza occurred while founding Partner, Eric Horsley, was skiing on the slopes in Colorado.  He brought his idea to managing partners, Jeff Van Dyke and Barbara Bodford-Morgan in North Carolina and they loved it.  With the previous restaurant experience that all three partners held, they combined their thoughts and opened the first Brixx Pizza in 1998.  Beginning their pizzeria in the Dilworth neighborhood, they’ve been providing the family experience with brick-oven pizza for over a decade.

Where you can find Brixx Pizza

The Partners goal for Brixx Pizza is for it to become the top rated pizzeria in the Charlotte, North Carolina.  Once it was voted “Best Pizza” 8 times in Charlotte’s newspaper, they expanded to South Carolina, Tennessee, and are in the process of opening up a new one in the Virginia area.  Currently there are 19 Brixx Pizza spread over 4 states.

Brixx Pizza Product Review

Brixx Pizza resembles a gourmet pizza rather than an American-style pizza.  It’s less greasy, only uses the freshest ingredients, and even is able to change any pizza offered fit for a Vegan.  The options are extensive and the pizza is pretty good.  There’s a choice to have their homemade tomato sauce or an olive-oil base instead.  Having tried both, I agree that each one is delicious and the decision is based on personal preference.
